Situation

Famous e-commerce portal used to run many offers and schemes on festivals and other occasions. They were running servers in clustered environment with SAN storage in load balanced environment. On the face of it solution was very good despite that they had to face many problems like slow response to customers, too many user errors, and database crash. Was database a problem? They were running MS SQL enterprise solution which was fully optimized as per the standards.

They tried many solutions including addition of servers in clustered environment, adding RAM’s to servers etc. All this costed them tons without any positive outcome.

Results

After six months of usage, client was extremely happy with the performance and was amazed to see the costs going down significantly, 100% uptime of portal, high availability and lesser management hassles.
